Travis- Wood pitches four perfect relief innings as Cubs one-hit Dodgers...............

avis Wood said he was sitting on a clubhouse couch Monday when Jason Hammel suffered cramping in his right hamstring while throwing warmup pitches before the third inning. Travis Wood then gave the Cubs plenty of comfort — with help from bullpen mates Justin Grimm, Pedro Strop and Hector Rondon — as they harnessed the Dodgers in a 2-0 victory for their sixth consecutive win. "I blew the no-hitter," quipped Hammel, referring to Justin Turner's pop single with two out in the first for the Dodgers' only hit. After Hammel walked the next batter, Adrian Gonzalez, he, Wood, Grimm, Strop and Rondon combined to retire the final 25 batters. The last time the Cubs did that was May 15, 1960, when Don Cardwell retired the final 26 batters in a no-hitter against the Cardinals.
